level of protection.
Similarly, the Starlink WiFi router is designed for indoor
use and boasts an IP54 rating, making it resistant to both dust and splashes of
water from any direction.
In accordance with the IEC 60529 standards:
IP5X: The Starlink dish and power supply are dust-protected,
allowing some ingress of dust but not enough to interfere with the safe
operation of the equipment.
IPX4: The Starlink WiFi router is splash-resistant, ensuring
that water splashing against the enclosure from any direction will not cause
harmful effects.
IPX6: The Starlink dish and power supply are resistant to
powerful water jets directed at the enclosure from any direction, and such
water jets will not have harmful effects on the equipment.
